The Haverford Township, where this unincorporated community is located, was first founded in 1681 by Welsh Quakers on land bought from William Penn. The multi-use Pennsy Trail also runs through Havertown’s prestigious neighborhoods and offers residents and visitors a safe and beautiful place to jog, walk, and bike. This trail is just over a mile long and a portion was recently updated to a macadam surface, making the trail a bit more bike-friendly. The township and county are considering adding a connecting bridge over Manoa Road to improve its usability.
